Huge "THANKS" to all who joined my friends and I at Blues Alley on Monday evening. Genesis Poets, 2Deep the Poetess, Tiffany Okafor, Messiah, and 13 of Nazareth worked so diligently on ensuring the success of the event. With the first show sold out and a fervent audience at the second show, it was indeed successful. All who attended had a blast. I feel that my ancestors were also in attendance and on one accord.
Catch me and my band next with Tamika Love Jones at Bohemian Caverns on April 22. Tickets are available now at www.bohemiancaverns.com.
John Chambers is the Chief Gardener at BloomBars, the community arts space at which I am a resident. Always with camera in tow, he shot this exclusive footage at one of our last rehearsals before the Blues Alley shows. Here's a sneak peak at how all of the fun came together.
